Our facility has state-of-the-art security features including, but not limited to, 24-hour video surveillance in all classrooms, hallways, and the outdoor perimeter, all external doors are kept locked to ensure that access is only given to those authorized to enter and exit the building at any time, a top-of-the-line fire system.

Every classroom has been designed to create an atmosphere for active learning, active play, and creativity. Your child will have adequate space to explore and interact with their teacher and fellow classmates. Cleanliness and proper sanitation are a priority at Vertical Kids. We want everyone in our spaces to be happy AND healthy.

As weather permits, your child will have access to a beautiful outdoor playground that has age-appropriate equipment, a tricycle and walker track, and a padded and turfed surface for our little crawlers. On rainy days, we have a large indoor space perfect for play and physical activties.

At Vertical Kids, we use The Creative Curriculum© by Teaching Strategies, one of the highest rated curricula by the Head Start ECLKC, that focuses on key elements like literacy, numeracy, social-emotional development, etc. For faith formation, we use the First Look © and 252 Kids© curricula by Orange that influences how they trust in Jesus and love God, others, and themselves.

Vertical Kids offers a full food program of quality meals and snacks for children 12 months and older including breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Each child receives nutritious meals and snacks that meet 1/2 to 2/3 of his/her daily nutritional needs. Menus are developed according to the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Meal Patterns that are appropriate for each child’s age and offer foods that vary in color, texture, temperature, size, and shape.

Supplementary iron-fortified formula and cereals will be available upon request.

We offer free supplementary diapers and wipes for infants, toddlers, and two’s (brands used may vary).

The Procare Management System will be your one-stop for payment, setting up autopayment, daily check-in and out, communication with staff, and much more.

Each team member completes rigorous pre-service training and ongoing training to ensure that they are providing the very best care and supervision.

Vertical Kids operates on a 52-week schedule. An academic year is considered from August 1 to July 31. We are closed for major holidays, early dismissals, and professional development days.
